Birmingham game picked up by 17 countries

Saturday’s npower Championship match away at Birmingham City promises not only to be a spectacle for those inside St Andrew’s come 3pm - it will also be enjoyed by millions of viewers across the globe.

According to the latest Football League planner the game is provisionally due to be screened live in 17 different countries including France, Hungary, Iceland, Norway, Slovakia, Ukraine, India, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Mexico, USA and Australia.

“It’s a fantastic situation for the Club to be in,” said Business Development Manager Mark Davies. “Not only will this global coverage provide a great platform to show what we can do on the pitch, but the exposure it will generate for our kit sponsors such will be fantastic.

“As the Club grows so does our ability to attract international business and hopefully a few more of these opportunities will result in a more companies joining the ranks of Rekorderlig, Radian B (Thornton + Ross), Umbro and Virgin Atlantic to name just a few.”
