Huddersfield Town central defender awarded Blue & White Members Player of the Year

Central defender Michał Helik has been named our Blue & White Members Club Player of the Year for the 2023/24 season, going one better than in 2022/23 where he finished runner-up to fellow defender Matty Pearson!
Also our reigning Hargreaves Memorial Player of the Year, the Polish defender has been consistent and reliable as ever this season, with his nine goals also putting him top of the scoring charts for the Club.
With 40 appearances to his name already this season, his victory comes at Sorba Thomas’ expense. The only player to feature more than Helik across 2023/24 with 41 appearances, the Welsh winger is this seasons runner-up, with his performances from out wide resulting in four goals and nine assists so far.
Despite being a difficult season for the Terriers, stand-in captain Helik has remained a hopeful presence, and his interventions at both ends of the pitch have greatly contributed to a number of our better results and performances across the season.
Due to be awarded his Player of the Year trophy pre-game ahead of our meeting with Birmingham City, Blue & White Member Valerie Hill and Junior Member Joe Collins will make the presentation, whilst each receiving a signed Helik shirt and commemorative picture to mark the occasion.
