Head Coach Carlos Corberán says his Huddersfield Town side will look to build on recent momentum by working to get a positive result from Wednesday evening’s game with Sheffield Wednesday.

The Terriers make the short trip down to South Yorkshire to face the Owls in the Sky Bet Championship, four days on from winning at Queens Park Rangers at the weekend, having drawn with Cardiff City and Birmingham City in the games prior to that.

Carlos gave his thoughts going into the Terriers' next match, at Hillsborough, when speaking with the media during his pre-match press conference on Tuesday afternoon.

“We arrive to the game with the same mentality as we arrived at the game against Queens Park Rangers, to the game against Cardiff City, and to the ones before that,” he said.

“We know about our situation and our position in the table.

“It’s an important game but also one that’s special as a close city here.”

Town are preparing to come up against a Sheffield Wednesday side in the early stages of a new era under Manager Darren Moore who was appointed at the start of the month.

Carlos has been impressed with the impact Moore has had on the Owls’ performances so far, in his short time at Hillsborough.

“He was a coach I faced when he was at West Bromwich. He was then working in League 1 (at Doncaster Rovers) and now he is in Sheffield.

“He has an intent to attack, playing out from the back and controlling the ball.

“They are going to be a very strong team just like they were last game against Norwich. How they work and how they compete will be very difficult to face.”

Speaking in the day before the game in South Yorkshire, Carlos also provided a positive team news update with no fresh injury concerns off the back of that win in the capital on Saturday.

“The situation stays in the same way,” he said.

“We have the same players, everyone that was involved in the previous game can be involved here.”

Although he won’t be available for the game at Hillsborough, the Spaniard also had an update on the recovery of Rolando Aarons who has been sidelined for just over a month with a hamstring issue.

“I expect to recover (Rolando Aarons) to work with the group over the international break. This is the first medical report they send to me, we need to see how he works though.”
