Academy Manager Jon Worthington was pleased with the showing of his young players after our 2-2 Central League Cup draw at Stockport County.
With many of the more senior B Team players currently training with Darren Moore’s First Team squad, Worthington led a young side with two trialists and several Under-19 players into the game.
It also featured the return of two long-term injury victims in Shane Maroodza and Dan Vost, who got their first 45 minutes under their respective belts.
